    3. Ease ‘Em In My personal journey into Web 2.0 and Second Life ® …
      • TBD’s Corporate Decision: Easy to make – harder to implement
      • Driving Factors:
      • Our staff and contractors are located across the US
      • Current economic realities demanded
      • Passion for staying up with technological solutions
      • What:
      • Use less expensive ways to communicate
      • Implement faster and cheaper ways to host interactive meetings
      • Use less expensive methods/tools to get our staff and customers trained and ensure transfer of knowledge and skills
    4. Show ‘Em Why & ROI
      • Given to the right people, a spreadsheet tells a thousand stories.
      • Keeping ahead of the competition is a strong motivator to type A personalities.
      • Web 2.0 and Second Life ® are fun ways to communicate and learn! Sure beats some of the ‘ol standbys like long, boring conference calls…
    5. Involve ‘Em
      • Drink our own Kool-Aid.
      • Remove all possible barriers to learning.
        • Teach using fun activities.
        • Make it easy for using the technology themselves – on their own.
      • Watch for areas of interest and pounce (without them knowing).
        • Encourage them to teach what they know best using the new technologies.
    6. Leave ‘Em Wanting More
      • Make sure that what we implement helps increase revenue, decrease costs and encourages others to learn and grow.
      • Most women like to shop.
      • Most men like toys.
      • It’s only the beginning…marketing through social media avenues; Twitter, Ping, Ning, LinkedIn, streaming video and tools like Flickr to post pictures to blogs; webinar training sessions with accompanying blogs; and so much more .
    7. Until Next Time…
