    • “ To create Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF) as a brand and one of the most prestigious short film festival globally. It will also be a platform for filmmakers to showcase innovative creations internationally”
  • 3. About
    • 1 st Guwahati International Short Film Festival, 2011 (GISFF) is an initiative by Creovaent Productions to establish a quality platform for Independent filmmakers especially from North-East India also an effort to showcase best of the best short films from all over the world.
    • GISFF will be organized from April 4 to April 5, 2011 in Guwahati, Asom with easy accessibility for students and film enthusiast to view the award winning short films from all over India and world.
  • 4. Important Feature of GISFF 2011
    • GISFF 2011 will be supported by ‘SHAMIANA’ popular short film club globally. ‘SHAMIANA’ will be the festival partner for GISFF 2011, which make GISFF as one of the biggest International Short Film Festival in India .

    • ‘ SHAMIANA’ is also joining hands with Creovaent Productions to support the short film movement with ‘Creovaent Shorts’, to be announced during the first edition of Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF).

    • Indian Documentary & Producers Association (IDPA) will also support GISFF to make the event successful.
    • National Award Winning Film Critic Mr. Utpal Borpujari joined the initiative with Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF) by becoming the Festival Director.

    • Bollywood personalities like Mr. Mithun Chakraborty (Confirmation Awaited), Mr. Jahnu Baruah, Mr. Sanjay Suri, Mr. Onir (Confirmed), Ms. Juhi Chawla/Ms. Manisha Koirala, Mr. Purab Kohli (confirmation awaited), Mr. Cyrus Dastur will take part in the festival to encourage the young filmmakers from the region.

    • Also special show of new Bollywood release I AM from Anticlock Films, Directed by Onir (Sorry Bhai, My Brother Nikhil, Bas Ek Pal fame) and Produce by Sanjay Suri and Onir will also be screened.

    • ‘ GISFF Spreading Wings ’
    • Another initiative by GISFF is called ‘GISFF Spreading Wings’ , the main idea is to identify one venue, interested colleges in all accessible important cities across North-East India to encourage students to participate in Film workshops & Seminars by renowned film personalities during the tour.
  • 10. Important Feature of GISFF 2011
    • A Special Theme Song for 1 st Guwahati International Short Film Festival, 2011 is being composed by special band Alobo Naga & Band from Dimapur, Nagaland.
    • The song is in English and all about dream, making big in life, the song is titled as ‘Painted Dreams’.
    • A 10 second promo and a full length music video will be shot to release as a publicity tool for the festival.
