Categories for solutions powered by SAP HANAApplications Applications provide a rich set of functionalities that addresses a company‟s existing business processes and enables innovations in processes and business models. Applications provide business logic, user interface, workflow, and other functions and are optimally designed to run natively on the SAP HANA platform to utilize its in-memory computing functions fully (business logic executed in the database layer, for example). Examples include SAP Smart Meter Analytics software and the SAP Dynamic Cash Management application. The SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (SAP NetWeaver BW) component on the SAP HANA database is an example of a core SAP component optimized for use with the SAP HANA database. SAP HANA replaces the traditional database, and specific application logic of SAP NetWeaver BW has been optimized to leverage the in-memory computing of SAP HANA.
