  • Is Yelling or Shouting the Best Way to Discipline Teenager  Find out correct methods to discipline your child. Using parental discipline theory will be more effective than spanking or yelling.  First analyze the situation. Children seldom behave wrongly to upset you.  Discover the reason of their misbehavior. Do not consider discipline to show power.  Don’t threaten them to show them either they listen to you or you will get even more upset. Parental discipline technique is all about working together.  Use your wisdom in guiding your child to correct the behavior. Often a child does not respond to discipline techniques because they are confused what you want.  When you are facilitating several discipline methods your child is clueless what to do. Use the same discipline techniques every time.  Be consistent with disciplining behavior. You need to teach them that if they act in a specific manner they will get in trouble. Children learn from parents, so behave with an intention what you expect from your child.  When your teen breaks a rule, cutting down privileges can be the best remedy. Don’t forget to offer a teenager some control over situations.  It will restrict the power struggles between you and the child. It will enable your teen respect your decisions.  Allow a teen to make decisions regarding clothes, hair styles, or the condition of his room.  The realm of control might be extended which will discipline your child without using force. • What is The Best Way of Disciplining Teenagers When They Misbehave ?  If you wish to teach your teenager discipline, there's no alternative for modeling it yourself.  Let them know they are loved and respected and they are considered worthwhile human beings with their individual talents and traits.  Reward their good deeds and positive attitudes. Withdraw affection on the instances of their unacceptable behavior or attitudes.  Avoid verbal assaults or tirades. These will not garner anything positive.  Your teen could even lose respect for you. Set concrete limits, so that they know the consequences of their actions.  Once you have set up the boundaries and the consequences of bad behavior, follow through.  Convey the attitude that it's the misbehavior you dislike, not your teenager.  Resentment is a great obstacle to effectively teaching your teenager discipline.  Patience and cool mind are of the essence to deal with your child while teaching him discipline. • Should We be More Violent When Disciplining Teenagers ?  Physical punishment generally results in negative results than positive consequences. It makes kids resentful and rebellious.  They repeat the same thing when they are parents, and leads to far worse behavior problems. Using appropriate discipline techniques needs more time and patience.  If your ward off corporal punishment, you can get the respect and love of your child. You can get greater cooperation from them.  The task of parents is to guide their teenagers into adulthood with a right image of themselves.  Parents have to find out and use more creative methods to deal with undisciplined teenagers.  Parents should maintain the balance of harmony, respect and love within the family.
