Binghamton Farm Share Around theCorner• Goal: to support, encourage and grow synergisticconnections between the region’s CSA farms andBinghamton food desert residents• Method: use existing community gatheringplaces, staffed by VINES (Volunteers ImprovingNeighborhood Environments) staff, to distributefarm shares within the food desert• Consumer Outcome: healthy, affordable foodaccess, leading to healthier lifestyles• Producer Outcome: expanded farm markets,leading to more robust agricultural economy
