  • Why hang out with these ‘experts’, connectors and influencers?Because you’re more likely to be perceived as an expert when you hang out with other experts.Experts and influencers typically have a large fan base you can leverage to build your own targeted Facebook community.
  • How can you find the right influencers and experts on Facebook for your contractor marketing business?Do your homework and identify the super connectors that are in alignment with your mission and goals.Make a list of 20 – 30 of those experts and influencers you’d like to connect with on Facebook. Develop a brief communication and make the first contact by reaching out to your list of experts and influencers with a personal message to introduce yourself. Follow-up and launch communications to secure the ‘relationship’. Once you’ve built a ‘Facebook relationship’, continue to foster it by asking for guest bloggers, communicating in forums, asking if you can be a guest blogger for them, and so on. But don’t over communicate.
  • After making contact and securing your Facebook relationships with experts and influencer, be sure you are tasteful with your communications.Also, you don’t want it to look like you’re only connecting with them to target their fan base, so use good judgment when seeking out and leveraging the fan base of these individuals.
  • To build these crucial relationships and master conversations with experts and influencers, as well as your own following:-Ask questions that your followers and ‘experts’ can provide you an answer to.-Hang out in forums externally and on Facebook for a great place to engage in targeted conversation with influencers.-Always use a consistent signature to:-Boost SEO.-Keep new fans up to date as to who you are.-Avoid self promotion (most of the time). Keep it about the community; not you, to help build credibility.

When guest blogging, make sure your content is relevant to the site you are guest posting on and that it is resonates with the blogger’s audience.-Encourage commenting on your posts by leaving the end of your post open with some sort of question or story that readers can give their thoughts on.
