When your fan base visits your Facebook business page, you want them to keep coming back for more to ensure your contractor leads list continues to grow. One way to do this is to make your page interesting and fun by creating Facebook competitions and events.
Facebook Competitions & Events are great Facebook tools to boost leads and brand exposure for your business.WHY?Because people respond to fun and creative ways you choose to market your business.
To create a Facebook Event to boost contractor leads:Determine what type of event you’ll have and who your target audience is. You want to consider location as required. Note: Target your event update to users based on their geographic location if you want to limit it to locals only. Next, determine the venue. Note: You may want to start small for your first few events. Create the event on your Facebook page and begin inviting guests. Send out regular event updates, including a reminder a week and day before the event. Note 1: Send out event reminders at least a week before and the day before your event.Note 2: You’ll receive better results from status updates then from page updates.
To create a Facebook Competition to boost contractor leads: Get creative and decide on a competition and prize. Create the competition on Facebook and send out a notice to all of your Fans. Emphasize the friendly nature of the competition, but be sure to clearly define the rules. Encourage your Fans to ask their Friends to join in on the competition for more leverage to boost lead generation. Announce the winner at the close of the competition! Let participants know who won and what they did to win. Upload video, photos, or any other type of submitted content that is pertinent.

Steps to Creating Facebook Events

Example Event
A local contractor could hold a small, local “Home Improvement Networking Happy Hour” and invite local businesses or contacts in the home improvement industry.
Steps to Creating a Facebook Competition
Decide on a competition and prize—be creative!
Create an event on Facebook and send out a notice to all of your Fans.
Encourage your Fans to invite friends.
Announce the winner at the close of the competition!
Example Competition
A local restaurant could hold a profile photo contest in which competitors need to include the company logo for a chance to win a $50 gift card.
