What are we addressing? Our country’s infrastructure has a tremendous potential to grow at a pace faster than what we witness today . A good number of engineering colleges have been opened up as a measure to speed up this growth. However, thousands of engineering students are graduating with certificates but with negligible industrial skills to accept the challenges they face at the commencement of their career. As a result, there is an acute shortage of ‘Young & Skilled Engineers’. Our Vision Our center by way of providing hands on practice and exposure on various Omni Present machines to young and qualified engineers will enhance their aptitude to accept challenges and also steer their attitude towards infrastructure/core industry. This value addition will take forward the individual and the industry by three years. How do we bring this Sea Change?We shall achieve this by providing following key opportunities forEngineers/technicians at our Centre:  Access omnipresent machines (listed in the next slide)  Assembling, dismantling and understanding intricacy of the machine.  Interpretation of drawings and catalogues etc.  Access to work on various equipment and plants as technician in our partner workshops/industry.  Strengthen their academics in the environment and VIS’ library.  Industrial tour to various industries helping them get the right exposure to commence their careers  Exposure on Safety Philosophy & training on Safety; driving, industrial laws; industrial economics; tendering and procurement etc.  Courses will include mandatory workshops on leadership and communication skills as well as team spirit.
