Disaster Relief - SHELTER KITS
Eastern India Rotary Welfare Trust – RID 329026, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata – 700 012Email : eirwtgrants@gmail.com Phone : (91-33) 3028 9394Disater Relief Preparedness for 1000 FamiliesDONATIONS PER SHELTER KIT - Rs 5000/- or US$ 100/- or GBP 65/- in preparedness for immediate relief for DISASTER VICTIMS. Eastern India Rotary Welfare Trust – A registered CHARITABLE TRUST of RID 3290 (EIRWT) under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act and with Sec 80 G IT Exemption, have developed a “Shelter Kit” program, which provides shelter, food, medical assistance and trauma care to the disaster victims immediately. The concept is: a) The Government will provide open ground where tents to temporarily settle 1000 families (to be identified by local administration).b) EIRWT will provide “Shelter Kits” to 1000 families. Each Kit will be good for a family of 4 – 6.c) “Shelter Kits” will contain the following --· A trunk to act as container for all the materials· 2 pcs tarpaulin for making tent AND cover floor cover· 2 sheets of linen· 2 blankets· 4 Steel plates· 4 Glasses· 1 Kerosene Stove· 1 Lantern · 1 Jerry can for water · 1 Jerry can for kerosene· 3 Cooking utensils · 3 Serving spoons· 500 Chlorine tablets · 1 Bucket and a mug· Soap and tooth powder· 2 sets of clothes for men and women & 2 children· Candles, Match boxes· 1 Mosquito netIn the areas covered by RI District 3291 -i) A ROTARIAN medical teams would regularly visit camps to take care of families.ii) EIRWT will organize for meals 3 times a day for 15-30 days (by when affected people should be able to return to their homes). Cooking utensils and the services of cooks with the assistance and volunteer cooking by members of the sheltered families.iii) Provide counseling teams to help these victims overcome their trauma.SHELTER KIT – DISASTER RELIEF
