HISTORY OF ALGONQUIN<br />THE NAME ALGONQUIN COLLEGE IS NAMED AFTER THE FIRST NATIONS PEOPLES WHO LIVED IN THE AREA.<br />IN 1957, THE EASTERN ONTARIO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IN OTTAWA WAS ESTABLISHED WITH ROUGHLY 120 STUDENTS AND A STAFF OF SEVEN.<br /> ALGONQUIN IS KNOWN AS QUIN COLLEGE IN OTTAWA.<br />PROUDLY KNOWN AS ‘’EOIT’’. ITS FIRST HOME WAS IN THE OLD SLATER STREET PUBLIC SCHOOL. <br />

WHY ALGONQUIN??<br />THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION AND THE OUTLYING AREAS OF EASTERN ONTARIO AND WESTERN QUEBEC.<br />PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY, CAREER-ORIENTED EDUCATION AND TRAINING.<br />STUDENTS LEARN BOTH THEORY AND HANDS-ON SKILLS IN QUALITY FACILITIES THAT REPLICATE THE REAL WORLD, FROM KNOWLEDGEABLE PROFESSORS WHO REMAIN CONNECTED TO THEIR INDUSTRY.<br />THE RESULT IS STUDENTS WHO ARE JOB-READY, WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND HANDS-ON SKILLS REQUIRED TO GET HIRED AND BE SUCCESSFUL IN THEIR CHOSEN FIELD.<br />
