    1. OFFICIAL  NOTICE:     For  Immediate  Release:     Press  Contact:    Joanna  Davidson  (R),  City  Clerk   236.678.2104/jdavidson@ci-­‐miniland-­‐mini-­‐mu     POLLING  LOCATIONS  FOR  THE  MUNICIPAL  ELECTION:     Hereby,  the  Clerk  of  the  City  of  Miniland,  Minibrick  for  the  Boroughs  of  Brickland,   Manchester,  Minifig  Island  and  Yorkshire  declare  that  on  Tuesday,  October  6th  2009  in   the  year  of  the  Lord,  that  the  City  of  Miniland  will  be  holding  the  Municipal  Election.       The  following  will  be  the  Articles  for  the  MUNCIPAL  Election:     Candidates  for  Office  (Article  1):     City  Council,  General  Member,  4  Year  term,  3  term  limit  (60  candidates  in  12  Districts)   City  Council  At  Large,  2  year  term,  3  term  limit  (12  Members  in  6  Districts)   Clerk  of  the  Boroughs,  2  year  term,  no  limit  (9  Candidates  in  4  Boroughs)   Clerk  of  the  City  of  Miniland,  2  year  term,  no  limit  (1  Candidate  in  all  boroughs)   Library  Board  of  Trustees,  2  year  term  (20  Candidates  in  5  Districts)   Chief  Financial  Officer  (Treasurer),  4  year  term,  no  limit  (2  Candidates  in  all  boroughs)   Mayor  of  Miniland  4  year  term  (beginning  in  the  2009  Election),  two  term  limit.  (4   candidates  in  all  boroughs)     Article  2:  As  mandated  by  the  Elsie  Compliance  Act  for  Local  Governments  of  2006,  the   Act  requires  the  City  of  Miniland  (The  City)  to  establish  a  Charter  Commission  as  well  also   to  apply  a  Charter  for  the  City  by  2010.  The  Charter  Commission  will  need  to  be  elected   by  the  Inhabitants  of  the  City  by  May  2010.  If  this  Article  is  passed,  the  City  will  have  a   separate  Special  Election  within  180  days  after  this  election.  If  this  Article  does  NOT  get   passed,  the  City  will  have  a  tax  impact  in  potential  legal  fess  and  fines  form  the  State  of   Minibrick  Division  or  Revenue,  the  Secretary  of  the  State  and  the  Attorney  General’s   Office.       (Recommended  by  the  City  Council  30-­‐0-­‐0)     End  of  Ballot  Questions

School  Board  of  Education:  Please  note  that  this  Ballot  is  separate  for  the  School   Election.  The  School  Election  will  be  on  the  same  day,  but  on  a  separate  Ballot.  Please   forward  inquires  to  the  School  Election  to  the  Miniland  Department  of  Education,   Miniland,  Minibrick  during  regular  business  hours  or  dial  311.       POLLING  LOCATIONS:   (All  Polls  are  open  from  7:00  am  to  8:00  pm)     DISTRICT  1  N.E.  MANCHESTER     Precinct  a):  F.S.  14     4240  Mammoth  Road     Precinct  b):  P.S.  221   124  Green  Street  (Plenty  of  parking,  overflow  on  the  street  and  near  Mammoth  with   alternate  side  parking  suspended  for  Election  Day)     Precinct  c):  P.S.  248  Massabesic  Elementary  School     312  Clickdonderry  Turnpike  (Parking  reserved  for  Elections  ONLY.)     DISTRICT  2:  INTOWN  MANCHESTER     Precinct  a):    P.S.  228   1148  Main  Street  (Park  on  City  Streets,  alternate  side  parking  will  be  suspended,  or  use   parking  garages  nearby.  MICTA  terminal  stops  from  the  Red  Mini  from  Brickland  into   Intown)     Precinct  b):  Manchester  Bureau  Library   1500  Western  Avenue  (Park  in  the  parking  lots,  on  the  City  Streets,  alternate  side   parking  will  be  suspended  ,or  use  parking  garages  nearby)     Precinct  c):  YMCA  Upper  East  Side   2956  Main  Street  (Best  parking  on  the  nearby  city  streets,  alternate  side  parking  will  be   suspended,  or  use  parking  garages  nearby.  MICTA  terminal  stops  from  the  Red  Mini   from  Brickland  into  Intown)       DISTRICT  3:  SOUTHERN  MANCHESTER       Precinct  a):  P.S.  178  Jewett   2122  Barkley  Street  (Best  parking  on  the  nearby  city  streets,  alternate  side  parking  will   be  suspended,  or  use  parking  garages  nearby.  MICTA  terminal  stops  from  the  Red  Mini   from  Brickland  into  Intown)

Precinct  b):  Miniland  Airport  District   F.S.  21,  2456  Willow  Avenue  (NO  Parking  –  use  Mass  Transit  with  MICTA  Election  Shuttle   schedule  from  the  Miniland  Galleria  to  F.S.  21.  Minimum  wait  is  less  than  5  minutes,  in   previous  elections.  Please  also  be  advised  that  traffic  will  be  very  heavy,  especially   during  peak  hours.)     DISTRICT  4:  MINIFIG  ISLAND     Precinct  a):    Miniland  Public  Safety  Complex  (New  911  Call  Center)   1500  Island  Avenue  (Plenty  of  parking  for  all  hours  in  this  region)     Precinct  b):  P.S.  680   180  Bourassa  Avenue  (Parking  will  be  limited,  take  mass  transit  with  MICTA  bus  shuttles   or  Shuttle  rails       DISTRICT  5:  UPPER  YORKSHIRE     Precinct  a)  P.S.  327:  547  NW  22nd  Street  @  Gomez  Avenue  (Parking  Limited,  use   surrounding  parking  spaces,  alternate  side  parking  will  be  suspended  for  that  day  or  use   garages  and/or  mass  transit  with  Yellow  and  Blue  Mini  rails  or  Purple  Shuttles  and/or   Green/Blue  crosstown  MICTA  Buses)     Precinct  b)  Bedford  Neighborhood  Library:  260  City  Line  Avenue  (Parking  will  be  limited,   use  street  parking  nearby,  parking  regulations  will  be  suspended    or  use  the  overflow   parking  will  be  at  Washington  Hall  across  the  way)     Precinct  c)    P.S.  517,  Joey  Bishop  Elementary  School:  570  Miller  Avenue  (Parking  will  be   allowed  in  the  garage.)     DISTRICT  6:  CENTER  YORKSHIRE     Precinct  a)  P.S.  547  Boxer  School  for  the  Creative  Arts:  124  Fletcher  Avenue   (Use  parking  in  the  near  back,  overflow  will  be  at  the  parking  garage,  street  parking  if   necessarly.)     Precinct  b)  Yorkshire  Borough  Hall:  120  N.E.  21st  Street  (The  George  H.  Cantina  Parking   Garage  is  up  5  blocks  north  @  Mason  Circle  if  street  parking  nearby  is  overfull.  This   precinct  should  meet  parking  capacity.)     DISTRICT  7:  SOUTHERN  YORKSHIRE/TED  KENNEDY  AIRPORT  DISTRICT     Precinct  a)  F.S.  12  Simpson  Avenue     (Parking  should  meet  the  capacity  of  the  precinct)    
    4.     Precinct  b)  Clickintino  School:  423  Patton  Avenue  @  Dupont  Circle  (Parking  shall  OK  for   this  precinct)     DISTRICT  8:  UPPER  BRICKLAND  HEIGHTS       Precinct  a)  Miniland  Community  College:  4114  Miniland  Avenue  @  68th  Street   Parking  Limited,  use  surrounding  parking  spaces  or  garages;  use  mass  transit  with  Red   and  Blue  Mini  rails  or  Purple  Shuttles  and/or  Red/Blue  uptown  MICTA  Buses     Precinct  c)  P.S.  527:  240  East  63rd  Street  @  A  Avenue   Parking  should  be  at  voter  capacity  in  this  precinct       Precinct  d)  P.S.  548  3590  Miniland  Avenue  @  64th  Street   Parking  should  be  at  voter  capacity  in  this  precinct       DISTRICT  9:  MIDTOWN  DISTRICT     Precinct  a)  P.S.  326  Eastchester  School   226  West  46th  Street  (Garage  Parking  for  election  only  as  well  as  street  parking  will  be   available)     DISTRICT  10:  PIER  DISTRICT     Precinct  a)  P.S.  221:  Melanie  Contane  High  School  for  Fishing  and  Marine   2    Avenue  1  (About  1,000  registered  voters  in  this  Precinct,  most  of  them  within  this   area.  Walking  or  taxi  service  is  recommended.  )     DISTRICT  11:  EAST  SIDE  DISTRICT     Precinct  a)  Miniland  City  Hall:  1  City  Hall  Plaza  (use  mass  transit  or  enter  in  limited   parking  in  the  public  parking  garage  in  the  lower  level  of  the  building)     DISTRICT  12:  LOWER  BRICKLAND  DISTRICT     Precinct  a)  Miniland  World  Trade  Center  East.  High  level  Security  –  no  firearms,   handbags  or  luggage  in  voting  area.  Parking  garages  are  not  accessible  for  voters  that   aren’t  tenants  of  the  building  complex.  Use  Mass  transit  for  rails  or  buses  heading  to   downtown.  Shuttle  Services  start  from  City  Hall  down  for  residents  that  need  to  get  to   WTCE  to  vote.
