Managed multiple production lines, machining & sub-assembling thrust reverser component kits. Projects including IAE V2500, Boeing 787, and Bombardier C-series.Responsibilities Responsible for careful planning & monitoring of the flow of components through the section to provide a balanced load of work to the fitting stage. Man-managed team of manufacturers, operating over two shifts. Responsibility to ensure team met or exceeded set production targets, as well as adhering to standard work. Close co-operation with management to ensure optimum performance of production lines and ensure effective two-way communication. Responsibility to ensure production lines have enough components or material available to meet work schedules, working closely with management and staff from other departments. Working closely with logistics engineering and other departments to develop and review recovery plans should manufacturing production schedules (MPS) slip. Completion of visual management boards & tracking. Leading by example to motivate the team and instil a strong work ethic. Responsible for careful management of overtime levels to balance work requirements against pre- determined budgets. Hosting and presenting daily start-up meetings to encourage two way communication and update team, management and support staff on performance of section. Close working with support staff including logistics, quality and manufacturing engineering for problem solving and improvement opportunities. Responsibility to ensure environmental, health and safety requirements and culture is closely adhered to on the section. Lead and co-lead structured lean manufacturing events in my role as a Goodrich lean practitioner. Introduced lean tools onto the production lines I manage, as well as into other areas. Ensured close adherence to lean tools operational on the line including standard work, TAKT, SWIP & FLM. Heavy involvement with the introduction and implementation of new products (NPI) onto the production lines. Responsibility to ensure section complied with ISO, CAA and Goodrich procedures. 1 of 9

Setting & operation of manual lathes, CNC machining centres & CNC cylindrical grinders. Completion of sub-assembly operations.
