Stephen worked under my supervision as a Rernote Account Executive for the
Salem/Keizer, area from October 30, 2000 to Jan 5, 2001. His responsibilities included
marketing Local Telephone Service, as well as Long Distance, Data, and Internet
Services to small and medium sized businesses in the Salem, Keizer area, as well as
providing Customer Service. Over sixty applicants were put through a multi-screening
interview process, of which only four individuals were selected to become part of the
FairPoint Sales Team. Even though Stephen had no prior telecommunications experience,
he was selected as one of the four based on his vast SalesAvlanagement experience.
He was quickly able to implement the vast amount of training and get immediate results
inthe freld. His positive and professional attitude was evidenced by the large number of
referrals he was able to gather from his happy clients, proving his ability to gain trust
quickly with business owners and decision makers. I found him to be pleasant to be
around, and able to maintain a positive attitude in such a challenging , competitive, and
quickly changing industry.
I highly recommend him based on his attitude and performance during his short time with
FairPoint, and feel he would be a valuable asset for any Company.
Stephen was very excited, as many of us with our jobs at FairPoint, however, because of
Corporate Downsizing due to the volatility of our business, this office will be closed as of
today, Jan 5fr, 2001.
