ART CONDOS PRIVATE RESIDENCE THE DRAKE HOTEL 32 DAVENPORT 30 ROEHAMPTON120 HARBOUR TRI-WIN INTERNATIONAL Tri-Win International, best known for their high-end residential towers in Asia, have brought their unique brand of condo development to the corner of Queen and Spadina in Toronto. After building more than forty 35+ storey towers in China over the last four years, they plan to use their development savvy to build a one-of-akind residence in the city’s hippest locale. Tri-Win may be a major international player, but their true expertise lies in harnessing top talent at a local level. For FAD Condos, they have compiled an enviable Toronto-based team that’s intimately familiar with the neighbourhood’s striking architecture, its population of creative people, and its unique vibe. Wallman Architects, Third Uncle Design and The Walsh Group (who all have their offices within a few short blocks of Queen and Spadina) combine tremendous design savvy with in- depth area knowledge for a show- stopping result that simultaneously fits in and stands out. Their design, inspired by Spadina’s historic warehouses and art deco office buildings, is respectful of the street’s existing architecture, while pushing things an exciting step further. FAD Condos harnesses the energy of the neighbourhood, evolves the city’s skyline – and creates a condo that’s unlike anything Toronto has seen before. WALLMAN ARCHITECTS The office of Wallman Architects is currently directing the design and construction of Toronto’s foremost residential and mixed- use developments. Clients such as Tridel, Minto, Menkes, Great gulf, Lifetime, Freed, Urban Capital and Tri-Win rely on us to deliver cutting edge creativity at a variety of scales. Our expertise has been refined over twenty five years of practice to encompass a full range of services including design, contract documents and contract administration. We are recognized for our ability to ensure the success of our projects by effectively engaging a full range of approval authorities, neighbouring landowners, and ratepayers organizations. At Ten York (Tridel), we are designing a seventy five storey building on a site that forms a gateway to Toronto’s waterfront. Ten york will be a signature landmark on the city’s skyline. The intersection of Front and Bathurst (Minto / Freed) will be revitalized with the construction of a new development that blends effectively with the unique Wellington and Niagara neighbourhood while providing large scale retail at grade. A new mixed used building for Menkes near Church and Carleton will help to energize the newly emerging neighbourhood around the recently renovated Maple Leaf Gardens. We have had a long history of designing projects in the warehouse district around Queen and Spadina with such projects as Twenty Niagara, District Lofts, Victory and Liberty Market Lofts at 5 Hanna. We are looking forward to continuing our involvement in this part of the city with the design of FAD. 3RD UNCLE DESIGN 3rd UNCLE design exists to create environments that inspire living. As a multidisciplinary design firm based in Toronto, Canada, 3rd UNCLE design has established a reputation on its innovative approach to design for a diversity of clients including corporate, retail, hospitality and custom residential. Established in 1997, 3rd UNCLE’s work has been consistently acknowledged by national and international media as demonstrating creative and conceptual thinking in the design of spaces that are sensual and memorable. 3rd UNCLE has a unique design process that focuses on providing comprehensive services for clients and maintaining a hands- on approach from the early concept stages to the completion stage of the project. Throughout the history of the firm, 3rd UNCLE has established a reputation for excellence that has been recognized by the industry through various design awards and a prolific amount of published material in design magazines, books, newspaper articles, online blogs and television content both in Canada and internationally. 3rd UNCLE has been the recipients of the Best Concept Design from the Industrial Design Society of America, the Best of Canada Design Award, the National Post Design Exchange Award, Best Retail Concept from Cadillac Fairview, the Gold Award from the Industrial Design Society of America/Business Week, and the Designer of the Year Award by the Interior Design Show. Arriz Hassam, Paul Syme and John Tong are the principals of 3rd UNCLE design. Their direct involvement and creative process in all stages enables them to work intimately on all projects and to maintain an uncompromised level of quality. Their research and development of spaces for living, working, and recreation extends to the production of custom furniture and fixtures, making a 3rd UNCLE project particularly unique. They often collaborate with artisans and designers in other disciplines who infuse progressive and fresh ideas in their work.
