Emirates, and is a very special honeymoon destination. The perfume
filled air and that delightfully warm breeze whistles past you as you
disembark the plane. Dubai is the perfect spot for the “all about us”
honeymoon – and so it should be. There are a plethora of shopping
opportunities, as well as some of the most amazing restaurants in the
world. Of course, there are plenty of beaches, but that’s not what
Dubai is all about. The vast network of buses and transport ensures
that the city is easily accessible from anywhere within the city; holiday
makers are always catered for. Dubai has simply the most amazing
water park that I have ever encountered! Atlantis is a spectacular park
where dreams certainly come true, you can swim with dolphins, go
relax of the private beach or go straight for the fun stuff with the largest
water slide in the world!

• As amazing as Dubai is, the Caribbean certainly has it’s something special to
offer honeymooners. Barbados to be exact! Barbados is one of the more
popular islands of the Caribbean, and there certainly is a reason why. This
beautiful little island is my idea of a tropical paradise, and the locals are just
fantastic! The islands survive, largely, on the tourist trade, and this is reflected
by the hospitality that you receive. Being a tropical island, there is plenty of
opportunity laze around in the sun, and indulge the family life together, but if
you are a little more up-beat. Well, there is a lot to see. Take a visit to
Harrison’s Cave, or why not go for a luxury safari holiday on the island, and I
don’t mean just on land! Prefer to stay off the beaten track? Why not go for
something a little wetter and try snorkelling with the beautiful sea turtles, or
explore the sea floor and discover all of the wonderful sea life!
• I thought that I would throw something a little different into the mix, a
honeymoon in Malaysia. Well to be honest, Malaysia is actually one of the most
popular destinations within Asia, but as far as a newlywed honeymoon goes -
this ticks all the boxes!
6. Malaysian Honeymoon
• Malaysia has just about everything in one place, no, in fact it has
EVERYTHING in one place. The cuisine is out-standing, and It also
has some really nice and unusual fruit. One of which being the durian –
commonly known as: “The King of Fruits”. Take my word for it, it’s an
experience. Sorry – I digress. You can completely unwind and relax
within one of their luxury spa’s – which I would highly recommend, or
enjoy the wildlife filled national parks. For any of you golfers out there,
there are over 200 courses that you can visit. Saying that, not sure if
the other half is going to be so keen! If you are thinking about
Malaysia, then I would recommend the Shangri La Tanjung Aru – sorry
say that again! Yes, I know it’s a mouthful. It is a little spa resort
packed with everything that a couple on honeymoon could ever ask
for. Luxury spa’s, buffets bed and breakfast, two enormous swimming
pools, tennis courts, 7 restaurants and lots more.
