THE START UP NATION
There are about 80 venture capital funds operating in Israel,
with the total capital raised at $10.6B and investments made
in more than 1000 Israeli start‐up companies.
Many of these start‐ups went through successful IPO's, and
there are presently 70 Israeli companies traded on NASDAQ
and around 30 traded on various European exchanges. Israel
is ranked second, after Canada, in terms of number of non‐US
companies traded on NASDAQ .
Since 1993, the average size of the leading Israeli VCs fund,
jumped from $20M in 1993 to more than $250 M today. (IVC)
Israel has the highest density of tech start‐ups in the
world. More importantly, these start‐ups attract more
venture capital dollars per person than any country — 2.5
times the U.S., 30 times Europe, 80 times India, and 300 times
Israel has more companies on the tech‐oriented NASDAQ
than any country outside the U.S., more than all of Europe,
Japan, Korea, India, and China combined.
But it’s not just about start‐ups. Scratch almost any major
tech company — Intel, Microsoft, Google, Cisco, Motorola,
and so on — and you will find that Israeli talent and
technology play a major role in keeping these multinational
companies on the cutting edge.

“I had the pleasure to work with Jonathan during my tenure at Symantec.
His knowledge of the IT sector and his extensive network were extremely
helpful while evaluating partnerships with new players. Jonathan
introduced me to a number of very innovative startups and provided
experienced support during the first phases of our relationship. I would
strongly recommend working with Jonathan to anybody trying to
anticipate the next "big thing".”

“Working with Jonathan was a really great experience from all angles:
developing business, getting results, gaining deep understanding of
targetted markets, and above all interacting with a highly intelligent,
creative and pleasent individual. In less than a year we penetrated into a
completely new geographic region, established effective partnerships and
started generating significant income ‐ with Jonathan saving as both a
consultant and "our man on the ground" in many ways. I highly
recommend Jonathan for business development positions or consulting
