    Good Morning / Afternoon and thank you Carolyn / Jenn for getting us started things off. Hello and welcome to 5+ Strategies for a Winning Presentation. I am very pleased to be with you here today. And thrilled to recognize a few names of folks in today's session And look forward to getting to know the everyone else.     Go Beyond the Expected . . . and audience something surprising, unforgettable, that still provides concrete learnings And that is what we are going to talk about today. . . Strategies that will you can use to surprise, engage, and win over your audience. Because ultimately isn’t that what we all want, is to win over our audience? Think about it, winning over your audience translates to them: Actively participating in your presentation by Listening to what you have to say, and hopefully Talking to others the “oh WOW” of your presentation.     Strategy #1: Feed Your Fans Did you know you have a fan club? Think about it . . . You do . . . Anyone that comes to your session is a FAN They want you to succeed. Because that let’s them know that they made a good decision coming to your session (over the competition). So, the good news is . . .     Strategy #2: Less is More We've all been there, sitting through yet another mind-numbing presentation feeling overwhelmed with information. . . so much information we don’t know where to begin or what to do. You want to speak as long as it takes you to get the message cross, no more, no less. If you have 75 minutes of content, for a 60 minute session you’ll have to edit ruthlessly and focus your message Rhetorical Question: So, where to start? Click to: Less is More Overview slide

    Strategy #3: Knock Their Socks Off This strategy is all about engaging your audience Your audience wants more than a lecture, more than a PPT presentation that they could have grab as a handout and be done with it. Your audience wants an experience -- something that will make them walk away feeling like your session was worth their time So, let’s talk about some tips you can use to engage your audience

    Strategy #4: Manage Your Time One of the concerns we heard consistently, across the board, was how do I manage my time? Good Question There is nothing worse for both the presenter and your audience, than when a speaker realizes they have more content than time and start rushing through their presentation to “cram” everything in. Your ability to manage the time you have allotted says a lot about you . . . And impacts your credibility, confidence and connection with your audience. When I work with clients, learning to manage time is one of my top 3 priorities I look out for.
