Adding Tabs in WL Presentation Transcript

  • 1. Adding Tabs in Westlaw

  • 2. Step 1
    To access specific materials quickly and easily, you can add tabs to your Westlaw account.
    Once you sign in, click “Add a Tab” in the top right corner.
  • 3. Step 2
    Click on “Add Westlaw Tabs”
  • 4. Step 3
    Scroll down to find which tab(s) you want to add.
    For the New York tab, find “Jurisdictional – State” and click in the box next to New York
  • 5. Step 3 (con’t)
    For the Federal tab, find “Jurisdictional – Federal” and click in the box next to Federal.
  • 6. Step 4
    Once you check all the tabs you want to add, click “Add to My Tab Set” in the lower left corner.
    All tabs added will appear next to the initial Westlaw tab.
    Here is what it looks like with the New York and Federal tabs.
    To add more tabs, follow Steps 1-4 again.
  • 7. Accessing Materials
    Click on the tabs to access databases available.
    You can now easily navigate through the different boxes within a tab and choose the database(s) in which you want to search.
  • 8. Quick Tips
    You can delete entire boxes within a tab by clicking on the “x” in the top right corner of the box.
    You can also rearrange the boxes within a tab by dragging and dropping them to the desired place.
