    • A very brief overview…
Salesforce Chatter is a revolutionary collaboration tool that creates a real time feed of data which can be customized to provide only the information individual users care about.
Chatter gives you the opportunity to follow employees, prospects, customers, accounts, cases, opportunities, documents and more!
But, like the debut of the Macintosh back in 1984, Chatter is still a bit shy on important features.
    • Make Chatter More Useful with Automation
Problem:Chatter has a limit to how many items you can follow
      • Users are limited to 500 records
      • You can Check this on the “Profile” view
    • Make Chatter More Useful with Automation
      Solution: “Chatter Unfollow Rules”
Uses Apex code, only available in Professional Ed and above
      Work with all Salesforce objects
      These are global rules
    • Make Chatter More Useful with Automation
Problem:Defining criteria for which cases & opportunities you want to follow in Chatter
    • Make Chatter More Useful with Automation
      Solution: “Cloud Swarm 2”
Set criteria to automatically follow opportunities and cases with certain criteria or in certain stages
Can choose which individual users the rules apply to
      Rule criteria is quite extensive

      Fluidity of Ideas

      Again, in your groups…
