Earth needs your help!
Constitution of India
Article 51 A g
“ It shall be the fundamental duty of every citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including lakes, rivers, and wildlife and to have compassion for all living creatures.”
So why should we protect nature, insects, birds and animals?
Ants? Lizards? Bats? What good could they do?
What about birds? Nature’s Forest Officers, Natures insect control
The best you can do for them is…?
Birds are not pets, they are meant to be free.
Do not imprison them in cages.
Never disturb a nest- you could end up in jail!
If the nest falls , pick it up and put it back in the tree.
If the baby falls – pick it up and put it back in the tree. Avoid watching it or the mother will be afraid to come back.
Avoid use of insecticides- they kill birds
Never harm or hurt birds with catapults or sticks , stones etc.
Never buy them from pet stores
Avoid using glass coated manja when flying kites- birds can get badly injured
Keep the tel nos. of your local animal welfare organizations for further help.
