  • Welcome, Running the Specialist Media Show, as well as my own consultancy business, penmaen Media, I’m privileged to get to talk to plenty of innovative niche publishers, consumer and b2b, who are pushing the boundaries of the traditional cover price and ad revenue model. As small independents they are very much interested in the art of the possible: what’s easy to implement on limited resources, and provides a measurable benefit to the business. What is cheering is that there is lots of experimentation and innovation going on in specialist markets. Today I want to share with you what I think are the top 10 ideas that could make you think differently about your own publishing business. We’re going to start with content, distribution and advertising, and then branch out into how you can bring together your community and provide them with other services.
