Objectives of the Workshop <ul><li>The objectives are </li></ul><ul><li>identify and document the required business interoperability </li></ul><ul><li>interfaces related to pan-European electronic transactions in </li></ul><ul><li>public procurement </li></ul><ul><li>document them as a set of technical specifications </li></ul><ul><li>The UN/CEFACT standards are taken into account in order to </li></ul><ul><li>ensure global interoperability </li></ul><ul><li>provide support to pilot projects implementing the technical </li></ul><ul><li>specifications in order to remove technical barriers preventing </li></ul><ul><li>interoperability. </li></ul><ul><li>The starting point for the workshop are the NES and CODICE </li></ul><ul><li>customizations of OASIS Universal Business Language 2.0  </li></ul>
  3. 3. PEPPOL <ul><li>There is a strong link to the project „Pan European Public Procurement Online“ (PEPPOL). </li></ul><ul><li>The broader vision of this project is that any company (incl. SMEs) in the EU can communicate electronically with any EU governmental institution for all procurement processes </li></ul>

WG-3 and WG-4 <ul><li>WG-3: Toolbox </li></ul><ul><li>Detailed sets of requirements or specifications for tools </li></ul><ul><li>Develop pilot or prototype tools that can serve as reference implementation for a given functionality </li></ul><ul><li>Analysis and evaluation of the suitability of existing tools </li></ul><ul><li>WG-4: Pilot support </li></ul><ul><li>Documented common base test criteria and success measures. </li></ul><ul><li>Development of project templates used to execute and evaluate </li></ul><ul><li>pilot projects. </li></ul><ul><li>Development of test instances and test plans </li></ul><ul><li>Interface with the PEPPOL consortium </li></ul>
