1. 1. CITIZEN’s Daily
Hot Issues :
Degrading Mother Nature.
Extinction of Animal Resources.
Depletion of Resources.
Global Warming.
2. 2. Most of the remote
Villages of developing
Countries suffer drought
,a Land Degradation
Land degradation is a concept in which the value of the biophysical environment is affected by one or more combination of human-induced processes acting upon the land. Natural hazards are excluded as a cause, however human activities can indirectly affect phenomena such as floods and bushfires.
3. 3. Water Conservation,
The need of the
Hour.
Water conservation programs are typically initiated at the local level, by either municipal water utilities or regional governments. Common strategies include public outreach campaigns, tiered water rates (charging progressively higher prices as water use increases), subsidies for showerhead and toilet retrofits, and seasonal restrictions on lawn sprinklers. Cities in dry climates often require or encourage the installation of xeriscaping or natural landscaping in new homes to reduce outdoor water usage.
4. 4. Save Tigers…..only 1141 left in India
Tigers have been hunted heavily by humans over the past few years. The tiger population in the Indian sub-continent has declined seriously in the past fifty years. Nepal has only two hundred tigers, while India has about four thousand, a serious decline from the past figures. Though the tiger is one of the most powerful mammal, it also faces the worst chances of being extinct.
Global Warming,
The issue that needs
Urgent sollution
The average facade temperature of the globe has augmented more than 1 degree Fahrenheit since 1900 and the speed of warming has been almost three folds the century long average since 1970. This increase in earth’s average temperature is called Global warming. More or less all specialists studying the climate record of the earth have the same opinion now that human actions, mainly the discharge of green house gases from smokestacks, vehicles, and burning forests, are perhaps the leading power driving the fashion.
Editor:
Sonia Malhotra
Anupam
