Exchange Servers» Email & Microsoft® Exchange Servers are super critical to your business and are those things that as long as they are working right, people tend to take it for granted.» But there are lot of things that can happen in your enterprise network that can affect the health and performance of the Exchange Server which if fails, not just upsets the Administrators but also the CEO’s, Administrative Assistants and a bunch of other folks. Now you don’t want that to happen, right! EXCHANGE SERVER MONITORING SIMPLIFIED 3
  • 4. What Needs MonitoringSome key metrics that need monitoring for optimal exchange health are:» CPU Utilization – Consistently high CPU utilization on your Exchange server may indicate a need to add additional resources to your Exchange environment.» Free Disk Space – The amount of disk space available on your Exchange system. Exchange is very disk intensive, and having enough space to grow is critically important.» SMTP Queue Growth – If a queue continually grows, it can signal that one of your connectors is on the fritz and not sending messages.» Available Virtual Memory – When virtual memory on your Exchange system gets too low, Exchange may stop working.
