Project management software vendors increasingly offer mobile versions of their
systems for access on smartphones and tablets—so we explored whether mobile
project management is commonly used by development teams. We found:
• Most respondents (61 percent) were using a mobile project management app
with some level of frequency.
• Improved team communication was the top benefit of mobile project
management, selected by 28 percent of respondents.
• A mobile app supporting an agile project management methodology was
preferred by 37 percent of respondents.
