2. The purpose of the Texas Teacher STaR
Chart is to assist all classroom teachers in
assessing their personal needs and setting
professional goals for the use of
technology in the classroom to support
student achievement.
If your district receives Title II, D funding,
teachers are required to complete the
Teacher STaR Chart.
Why do I need to fill out a STaR Chart?
3. Self-Assessment will be made in 4
key technology areas:
– Teaching and Learning
– Educator Preparation and
Development
– Leadership, Administration and
Instructional Support
– Infrastructure for technology
4. All Teachers, Skills Specialists,
Librarians, SpEd Teachers, and
the School Principal needs to
complete the STaR Chart.
Who needs to complete a STaR Chart?
7. Teachers: enter their log
in names provided to you
and the password you
used last year.
Or Click to request your

remember it from last

New Teachers: enter your
user Name and the
password is password.
You will be prompted to
create a new password.
Use your name (Tom.Jones) is your user name and your
Aldine.k12.tx.us email address is your StarChart ID if
you can’t remember your password.

9. Each
Teacher will
receive an
email with a
link to take
you back to
the web to
complete
your STaR
Chart Self
Assessment.
