  • 2. The Convention is Over. Now What?
    • Your work doesn’t stop after the show is over. It is now time to follow up with your leads!
    • Your trade show booth was not the only one attendees visited. Some of the other booths may have been your competitors.
    • If you aren’t contacting them after the event, your competition will.
  • 3. Why Should I Follow up With Leads?
    • Even with amazing trade show displays , attendees won’t necessarily remember talking to you
    • Refresh their memory by contacting these potential new customers no more than a week after the convention
    • This will increase the chance they will do business with you
  • 4. Follow-up Ideas
    • Phone Calls
    • Thank-you Cards
    • Emails
  • 5. Phone Calls
    • Call to thank these attendees for taking the time to speak with you at the event.
    • Ask if there are any further questions you could answer in regards to your products or services.
    • HINT: People are more likely to buy a product from someone who knows their stuff. If you constantly answer questions with, “I don’t know,” possible customers will not be as confident to work with you
  • 6. Thank-you Cards
    • Handwritten thank-you cards a nice gesture to show your appreciation
    • It also shows that you took time out of your busy schedule to recognize the people who stopped by your trade show exhibit
    • Attach your business card in order for them to contact you
  • 7. Email
    • Use this method sparingly, since any email they don’t recognize could get deleted
    • Inform them at the event that you will be sending an email so they know to expect it
    • Include your contact information in order to make it easy to contact you
  • 8. Importance of Your Display
    • The first thing attendees will notice is the look of your portable display. Having a well-designed convention booth will increase the traffic you receive, which will also lead to more prospects
