  2. 2. The Convention is Over. Now What? <ul><li>Your work doesn’t stop after the show is over. It is now time to follow up with your leads! </li></ul><ul><li>Your trade show booth was not the only one attendees visited. Some of the other booths may have been your competitors. </li></ul><ul><li>If you aren’t contacting them after the event, your competition will. </li></ul>

Why Should I Follow up With Leads? <ul><li>Even with amazing trade show displays , attendees won’t necessarily remember talking to you </li></ul><ul><li>Refresh their memory by contacting these potential new customers no more than a week after the convention </li></ul><ul><li>This will increase the chance they will do business with you </li></ul>

Phone Calls <ul><li>Call to thank these attendees for taking the time to speak with you at the event. </li></ul><ul><li>Ask if there are any further questions you could answer in regards to your products or services. </li></ul><ul><li>HINT: People are more likely to buy a product from someone who knows their stuff. If you constantly answer questions with, “I don’t know,” possible customers will not be as confident to work with you </li></ul>

Thank-you Cards <ul><li>Handwritten thank-you cards a nice gesture to show your appreciation </li></ul><ul><li>It also shows that you took time out of your busy schedule to recognize the people who stopped by your trade show exhibit </li></ul><ul><li>Attach your business card in order for them to contact you </li></ul>

Email <ul><li>Use this method sparingly, since any email they don’t recognize could get deleted </li></ul><ul><li>Inform them at the event that you will be sending an email so they know to expect it </li></ul><ul><li>Include your contact information in order to make it easy to contact you </li></ul>
