In Greece we are saying that you are always judging the others after yourself.. I understand that 'Respect' is not something you have learned about while you were raised.. either at your family or your school... How very sad to realize that in this Community we are all considering to be our Home there are people like the ones who created this slideshow..

Well till recently, we gave everyone the same kind of account (i.e. the default/normal account). So if you were a teacher, a university, a company or a lone user, you had to use the same account type. Not any more. We have released 7 new account types. We did some exhaustive research to understand our community. And the research indicated that these seven types of accounts should cover the main sub-sections of SlideShare users. Account types are free, off course. If you want to change our account type, just log into your SlideShare account, change your account types, fill out the options and you are all set to show the world WHO YOU ARE. Why are we doing this? SlideShare has grown into a vibrant community and (behind the scenes) we are building custom features for different accounts. As and when these features are launched, we want you to best positioned to leverage on them.

Being a slideshare user from a long time, I believe that every new initiative taken by slideshare is win-win situation for its member and for their business model as well.
This new initiative also seems very creative to me , But this time word ‘default ‘ has spoil the game by creating communication noise.
I am sure slide share will replace this word with some other positive and suitable word.
My personal suggestion would be coming with user rating like ’Newbie’, ’Expert’,’ Intermediate’, and it should be given admin. Or other fellow user based on his/her uploaded presentation number and quality.
