Sustainable Cities Award Philips Livable cities Award • Grant Type: Prize / Award • Amount: €125,000 total award • Geographic Focus: International • Deadline: 31st October 2010 http://www.because.philips.com/Home/AboutAwards#3 • Philips is looking for individuals, community or non-governmental organizations and businesses who have ideas - ideas for ‘simple solutions’ that will improve people’s health and well-being in a city. • To help translate these ideas into reality, three Award grants totaling €125,000 are on the line. One overall winning idea from any of the three categories outlined below will receive a grant of €75,000, while the two additional ideas will receive grants of €25,000. Northern Ireland Energy Efficiency Grants (1 of 2) Energia Lighting Energy Efficiency Grants • Grant Type: Installation Projects • Amount: up to 30% of project costs • Geographic Focus: Northern Ireland • Deadline: Ongoing http://www.energia.ie/NI/energyefficiency/eegrants_lighting.aspx • We have grants available for applicants who are installing energy efficient hi-bay lighting. The grant assistance we provide is up to 30% of the total project cost. Companies also benefit from a free survey by lighting engineers who recommended fittings, costs, estimated annual savings and payback periods. Northern Ireland Energy Efficiency Grants (2 of 2) Variable Speed Drives Energy Efficiency Grants • Grant Type: Installation Projects • Amount: up to 30% of cost of equipment • Geographic Focus: Northern Ireland • Deadline: Ongoing http://www.energia.ie/NI/energyefficiency/eegrants_lighting.aspx • We currently have grants available for applicants who are installing variable speed drives to pump, compressors and fans etc. The grant assistance we provide is up to 33% of the cost of the equipment.
