    • 8. THE CHURCH-WORSHIPPING WITH THE TARES
    • 9. THE CHURCH-WORSHIPPING WITH THE TARES The Kingdom of Heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went away. But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. Matthew 13:24+ A local church will have tares with which to CAREFULLY contend: be too aggressive andyou’ll uproot genuine believers in your zeal for a pure ‘field’

Revelation 2:19 Jesus tells John of a false prophetess inThyatira who infects the church there. Hewarns all to avoid this lady and hold fast to what they have left of the truth (vs 25).Jesus calls us to be overcomers.

I Corinthians 3:15At the Judgment Seat of Christ, all our works are tested by fire for their worth. SomeChristians get rewards, others have nothing to show for their Savior’s love. Nothing.
    • 14. EXTREME CASE IN POINT I have decided to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. I Corinthians 5:5Here a Christian has so violated God’s will andhis church’s respect that Paul hands him off to Satan for ‘the destruction of his flesh’. But his spirit remains saved.

    • 18. There is no perfectly complete believer “Not that I have already obtained it (the resurrection) or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.” Paul in Philippians 3:12 (also I Corinthians 13:9-13) ere’s that leave you and me?If Paul i sn ot perfect, wh
