  4. kids raring to go - but I feel it needs to be done in an organized way. Laying the groundwork for routines makes everything run more smoothly in the classroom. iPads are no diff.\n
  5. Explain licensure process. Review, review, review.\n

  8. Reason to differentiate for kids, reasons for names\n
  9. Remembering safety utmost concern, learning responsible use just as much as learning math, ss, reading, etc...\n
  10. Start small - use website and apps that you’ve already used whole-class in the lab, or 1:1 on desktop computers. I already know these two sites and so do the kids - made it easier to roll along.\n
  11. Have been learning these skills for several weeks - the iPads offer a fresh perspective on how to demonstrate learning.\n
  12. Something I’ve never had the courage to do - use Google Earth with a whole class full of students. The iPad made it manageable! I was MUCH better able to learn who needed more support in the area of geography.\n

  14. What’s next? Who knows? I do know that I’m feeling better - and I think I’m ready to start testing these young paddlers. I can’t wait to see what these iPads are capable of doing, when it comes to effective learning for students.\n
