  3. 3. Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dali was born in Figueres, Spain, on May 11th, 1904. From a early age Dali was encouraged to pursue his art dream. Dali’s father was a middle class lawyer. His father also had a very strict approach on raising children. Because of his fathers disciplined approach on raising children Salvador never got in trouble at school or at home. 4. 4. There was only one event that effected Dali. The event that effected him was the 1920 Culture Movement which made him realize that he wanted to pursue his dream of being a painter. Back Culture Movement: a group of people working together to advance certain cultural goals
  5. 5. The first school Salvador Dali went to was a State Primary School. But Dali’s father thought the first school wasn’t doing a good job of teaching Dali. So his father moved Dali to Hispano-French School . Lastly Salvador Dali went to Madrid to go study at the Fine Arts School. Back Website of the picture
  6. 6. Dali really enjoyed doing Surrealism. Because he liked Surrealism so much most of his paintings were Surreal till he was about 24. Than Dali began new styles of art, cubism, pointillism, and Futurism. Those last three styles of art where what he used to paint his art work for the rest of his life. Back
  7. 7. One example of Dali’s work was “invisible man” it show a man forming into different things like glasses, vases, and tables. Another examples of Dali’s work would be “The Persistence of Memory”. This painting was painted when Dali was placed in unfamiliar context and place. An example would be when he moved to Madrid to pursue his art dream and since that wasn’t his home we was very confused about where everything was so he painted that painting to show his confusion.
