  • Going Forward – Schedule For Meetups
So much great stuff has happened – so much talent in Halton – so how do we keep our meetup momentum going?
We’ve asked you, surveyed you, and discussed at roundtables and un-meetings what you’re looking for from our meetups.
    We know you are:
Professionals / Individuals: looking for connections, networks, ideas to get more business
Solopreneurs / Small Businesses: looking for partnerships, networks, clients, ideas to grow and optimize your business, get access to venture capital
Corporations / Mid to Fortune 500: looking for networks, innovative ways to grow your business, access local talent pools
  • Meetups Calendar For Membership Needs
So….we’ve developed a meetup plan focused on four themes:

Examples: Digital Media - Social Media – Inbound Marketing – Customer Relationship Management – Blogging For business
    Business Optimization
Productivity – Methods – Best Practices
Examples: Project Management, Agile Development, Supply / Services Chain
    Innovation / Commercialization
    Product + Services Innovation – R&D – Venture Capital
Examples: New Product Demos – R&D Sources + Funding – Sources of Capital – Crowdsourcing Projects
    Networking / Building Business Relationships
    Collaboration – Partnerships - Referrals
Examples: Speed Networking – Partnering Opportunities – Referral Networks
  • Meetups Calendar For Membership Needs
And started a calendar to help our planning……
  • How Will It Work?
Event Themes Will Get Posted By October 31
Will include open call for keynote presentations
And open call for member presentations
    Each Month:
Pre meetup networking – 30 minutes
One keynote presentation based on theme - 30 minutes
Two member presentations - 5 minutes each
Post meetup networking – 45 minutes or until bar closes
    Both structured + unstructured formats
If we run an unmeeting, all the presentation topics will be posted beforehand so people can think about what they’d like to hear
Finally – we’ll round out meetup themes by:
adding links to presentations / videos from the event
and invite our members to add other links to ideas / presentations that support the theme
  • Who’s Going To Do This?
Need Volunteers To Help Build Great Events
We already have great location scouts
We need four committees based on themes
This is not a lifelong commitment, but it is a serious commitment for one year for the events you take on
    Committees Will:
Plan event (we’ll provide event templates)
    Source / finalize speakers
Ensure locations work for the event
    Market event
Be responsible for all info in the linkedinmeetup space
    Comments / Questions?
