  • 3.
    • Retail store signage is all about making a big impact on
    potential customers.
    • For retail signs, you can’t get any bigger than giant store
    banners.
  • 4.
    • Vinyl banners are weatherproof and resistant to fading.
    • 5. Banners hung across a business entrance commonly feature
metal grommets, or rings, in each corner.
    • Outdoor banners are made from a thicker vinyl and have more-
    durable grommets.
  • 6.
    • A retail storefront is ideal for banners announcing special
    promotions, sales, and events.
    • Advertising banners can easily be customized for each event
(grand openings, store closings, holidays, sales, etc.).
  • 7.
    • Design a retail banner that makes a statement, using bold, vibrant
    colors that grab attention.
    • Choose colors that are opposite of each other for the best impact.
    • 8. Too much color can be confusing, however, so try to keep your design
    within 2-3 colors.
  • 9.
    • Make your message bold and easy to read, with simple fonts and
    short information.
    • Too much text can clutter a sign and overpower you message.
    • 10. Your message should be as large as possible so it is visible from
    across the parking lot.
    • Letters should be at least 4 – 5 inches tall so the message is not lost.
