Between 80% and 90% of pallets fall in two problems: block pallet breaks & pallet disassembly. Using NX CAD, NX CAE and NX Nastran, they were able to solve these problems.

  • 2. Plásticos Técnicos Mexicanos • PTM (Plásticos Técnicos Mexicanos) was founded in 1976. Today, with over 35 years of experience, provides solution and manufacturing for plastic processing projects. PTM provides specially services, tailored to meet client-specific needs, and PTM also serves a range of industries, such as automotive, material handling, as well as food and beverage. • PTM has two production plants in Mexico as well as operations in Colombia and Brazil with more than 1,000 employees, the annual processing capacity exceeds 20,000 tons of plastic resins. PTM has modern production capabilities and the ability to perform various plastic transformation processes, such as blown, injection, thermoforming and extrusion. • PTM recovers and recycles more than 8,000 tons of plastic annually for use in the manufacture of useful products.   • 9. Finite Element Model The Finite element model (preprocessing) was made using NX CAE. • 3D tetrahedral elemenet used (CTETRA10) more than 2 million of elements. Summary • Using the engineering and design tools was very useful to increase the proposals in less time and faster. • With NX CAD was very fast to move the design and have several concepts (more than expected) using synchronous thechnology. • Several environments with differents loads was fast and the solution process and results with NX CAE and NX NASTRAN. • Finally the engineering and design process was done on time because of NX CAD, NX CAE and NX NATRAN.
