  • 2. Introduction What is HTML? Hyper Text Markup Language. Basic building-blocks of WebPages. Allows images and objects to be embedded and can be used to create interactive forms.
  • 3. History 1989: Tim Berners-Lee invents the Web with HTML as its publishing language. 1990- Berners-Lee specified HTML and wrote the browser and server software. In late 1991 -The first publicly available description of HTML was a document called HTML Tags, first mentioned on the Internet.
  • 4. Markup Refers to the sequence of characters or other symbols. Often called as “TAGS”. Html Markup consists of several key components:- Elements Attributes Data Types

Difference Between HTML4 And HTML5HTML4 HTML5 Elements like nav, header were not  It brought new element for web present. structure like nav, header etc. It was lack of rules of parsing so it  Strictly parsing rules introduced in is difficult to handle error. html5 so handle the error. No multimedia supported without  It inbuilt multimedia element in third party. html5 like Audio, video, convas. These controls were not present.  It contains attributes like control menu, spell check etc.
  • 33. Websites using HTML5 YouTube uses HTML5, www.youtube.com/html5. Google wave, a collaboration tool from Google uses several html5 tags. Only some of the browser only supports HTML5 features currently.
