Bhushan Steel was founded in 1987 as a private company located in India. It operates a steel mill with various production lines including a pickling line, Hitachi mill, electrolytic cleaning line, annealing process, skin pass mill, cut to length line, and colour coating line. The company supplies steel to major automotive customers such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata Motors as well as appliance manufacturers such as Hitachi, Carrier, and Samsung.

6. Pickling line is basically meant for removal of
rust and dust from the surface of HR coils.
Acid used for pickling is HCL.
Concentration of different pickling is:-
1)-Ist stage- 3.5%
2)-IInd stage- 7%
3)-IIIrd stage- 11%

8. Hitachi mill is used for the reduction of
thickness of the sheets.
It is also used in maintaining tension in the
sheets.
Hydraulic load is applied on the 6 Hi rollers
%age reduction=(t1 – t2) / t1*100

10. This process is done for the removal of
coolant and other impurities on the surface of
sheet.
Strip is passed through electrolyte and then
caustic soda solution where its surface is
cleaned.
Surface finish is also improved in this process.
Dryer is used for the removal of water on the
surface of the strip

12. Annealing is a process of heating, soaking and
controlled cooling of coil in a non oxidizing
atmosphere.
Annealing is done to refine the grain structure
and reduce hardness of sheet.
Annealing is done at a temperature of 575-
650°C
Bell type Annealing is done for rolled sheets
Kathabar Bell is used for cooling of rolled sheet
so that the strip does not stuck with each other.
13. Oxygen gas is removed by filling up nitrogen
gas inside the bell.
Nitrogen gas is removed by filling hydrogen
gas.
Air cooling is done till the temperature reaches
250°C
Water cooling is done till the temperature
reaches to 125°C
Afterward cooling is done by dry air which is
formed on kathabar bells

15. In this mill the surface finishing of the rolled
sheet is increased.
Hardness is also increased as per requirement
of customers.
It improves shape and temper of the material.
7% reduction of SPM is done in this mill.
Quality parameter is finally checked in this mill.

17. In this line sheets are cut according to the
requirement of the customer.
Shear blades are used for cutting of the
sheets.
Sheets are dispatched for coloring or
polishing

19. Different types of color are coated on the
sheets as per requirement of the customer.
Sheets are first washed with alkaly and then
with water to remove dust.
Then chemical coating and primer costing is
done.
After then different layers of paint is coated on
the sheet.
Then it is sent in oven after which quenching is
done and the roll is recoiled.
