                         Introduction
     Title
What is Climate: Climate encompasses the statistics of temperature,
Introduction humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, precipitation, atmospheric
Task particle count and other meteorological elemental measurements in
a given region over long periods. Climate can be contrasted to
   Process
weather, which is the present condition of these elements and their
Evaluation variations over shorter periods. A region's climate is generated by
Conclusion the climate system, which has five components: atmosphere,
hydrosphere, cryosphere, land surface, and biosphere.
The climate of a location is affected by its latitude, terrain and
altitude, as well as nearby water bodies and their currents. Climates
can be classified according to the average and the typical ranges of
different variables, most commonly temperature and precipitation.
The most commonly used classification scheme was originally
developed by Wladimir Koppen. According to Wladmir Koppen,
there are 6 climate zones including: Tropical humid, Dry, Mild Mid
Latitude, Severe Mid Latitude, Polar and Highland.

                                   The Task
Title Your groups task will be to conduct research on your given Climate
Zone and design a poster in which you will present to the class. The
Introduction poster will include your information found including:
Task •at least 5 interesting facts about your climate zone (Temperatures,
average rainfall, animals and plants living in area, etc.)
   Process
                  •Activities you could do there
Evaluation •Would you want to travel to this climate zone? Why or why not.
Conclusion •If yes, what country/city would you want to travel too?
You will have to use the Web to research your given Climate Zone.
You have all week to work on this during class time. Next Monday
we will start presenting them to the class. If your group needs extra
time, you can finish on your own time.
                  Good luck!

                  Zone I assign you.
 Introduction
Task Then you will break up the work amongst yourselves.
                  The jobs include:

                                             The Process
Title Step 2. As a group, you can begin working on your assigned parts.
Researchers: Here are some helpful websites that will start you in the
 Introduction right direction:
     Task •http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/climate.htm

Evaluation Illustrators: You can start by looking on Google images for some ideas
Conclusion on pictures to include on your posters. You should have at least 5
pictures that go along with your information and two should be hand
                  drawn.
Authors: You can start by helping the researchers take down their
information on the note guide I provided for you in class. You may also
be typing the information up as your group goes if you want to present
the information on the poster typed out.

You’ll need to cite your sources you found information from on a
separate page. Here is a link that will help with that:
