  7. 7. The Atmosphere of UnityTwo is an additional number, whichcould mean many things, it could meanincrease because it is more than one, itcould mean multiplication because ithas been doubled. It also means unity because it is thecoming together of more than one, andit could be said to be strength andpower.7|Page
  8. 8. It could also be seen as strong supportfor both.We understand that through thescripture, in the book of Genesis, Godmade heaven and earth, He reformedthe earth which was without form, hepractically spoke everything intoexistence, the heaven, the earth, thesun, the moon, the stars, the air, thewaters, the fishes, the birds, all theanimals and insects, then watch this,8|Page
  9. 9. when it was time for God to createman, God called for a meeting.Genesis 1:26, "And God said, let usmake man in our image, after ourlikeness.”In the atmosphere of unity andtogetherness, man was created. Whenman was created, man was formed twoin one; the scripture said he madethem male and female.9|Page
  10. 10. God did not stop there, he decided toseparate them biologically but still bindthem up physically, emotional andspiritually, but there was one who wasthreatened by this development.Yes, the devil never liked it, so hestarts to fight the concept witheverything he has. The devil knew, hewill never succeed if they weretogether, so he waited until Eve wasalone, then he attacked her mind, andthen her person.10 | P a g e
  11. 11. You know how the story goes. Eventhe children of this world will agreewith this concept and they usually sayit like this, "Divided will fall, but unitedwill stand.”11 | P a g e
  12. 12. The Power of UnityWell, it must interest you to know thatthis concept is divine; the world gotfrom the scripture and accepted it.Do you remember when the Lord Jesusspoke to the Jews about a house that isdivided against itself; he said it wouldnot stand. Therefore, you must understand theprinciple of unity is in agreement, the12 | P a g e
  13. 13. power, strength and their progress is inagreement.Amos 3:3, the scripture asked aninteresting question, "Can two walktogether, except they be agreed?”There is something in two, intogetherness, which the devil is doinghis best to stop many from seeing, orunderstanding, because once it isrevealed to you, your way and conceptof battles will change.13 | P a g e
  14. 14. There is power in unity. The scripturesays one of you shall chase onethousand, but two of you tenthousand. Since one is to stop onethousand, then, two should have beentwo thousand, but not the way itworks.Notice, the number multiplied by ten, because, two are ten times better thanone, ten times stronger than one, tentimes wiser than one, ten timesfavored than one, ten times14 | P a g e
  15. 15. empowered that one, and ten timesblessed than one.Ecclesiastes 4: 8-12, "There is onealone, and there is not a second, yea,he hath neither child nor brother...Twoare better than one because they havea good reward for their labor. For ifthey fall, the one will lift up his fellow, but woe to him that is alone when hefalleth, for he hath not another to helphim up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one15 | P a g e
  16. 16. be warm alone. And if one prevailsagainst him, two shall withstand him,and threefold cord is not quicklybroken.”16 | P a g e
  17. 17. Three Fold CordThrough the scripture, we understandvery well that two is far better thanone and there are rewards that comeout of two, and finally the scripturetalked about the threefold cord. It saysit cannot be easily broken; this is ademonstration of unity, the strength oftogetherness. When God was about to create man atthe beginning, he said let us make manin our own image and in our likeness,17 | P a g e
  18. 18. does this mean that God was workingwith others at creation? Let see, 1John 5:7, "For there are three that bearrecord in heaven, the Father, theWord, and the Holy Ghost, and thesethree are one.” These three are one, three in one, and they had to cometogether to make man in their ownImage and likeness. Was that why,man was given a helpmeet becauseGod saw it is not good for man to bealone.18 | P a g e
  19. 19. Man was not wired to be lonely, it isnot in the nature of man to be isolated,in fact is was what made God tocommand man to be fruitful andmultiply, to replenish the earth, andthese growth and expansions is in linewith Gods divine call and purpose forman. We have seen through thescripture the physical benefits andstrength that is in two or more, whatabout the spiritual.19 | P a g e
  20. 20. Well from the known, you will get tothe unknown, all truths move towardsthe same direction. The scripture saysin Matthew 18:19, “Again I say untoyou, that if two of you shall agree onearth as touching anything that theyshall ask, it shall be done for them ofmy Father which is in heaven”.The Lord did not stop there, Heconcluded with these words in verse20, "For where two or three are20 | P a g e
  21. 21. gathered together in my name, theream I in the midst of them.”First he assured us that when we cometogether in agreement and touch anyissue it response to our desired result, and the his presence is in the midst oftwo or three. Why didnt God say thesame concerning one? Does it mean,He is not with one?21 | P a g e
  22. 22. The Spirit of UnityNo, I do not think so, but what thescripture is revealing here is that thereis more anointing, more grace, moreglory, more authority, and moreblessings in unity. The spirit of unity is something youcannot beat or overcome withoutdividing it.22 | P a g e
  23. 23. In Luke 10, the Lord sent out seventy ofhis disciples two by two. Now,something wonderful happened, inverse 17, the scripture said they cameback rejoicing, they gave thistestimony, and that the devil wassubject to them. They all walked in twos, and the resultwas amazing. Psalm 133, says it issweet, pleasant, wonderful, marvelousand blessing for brethren to dwelltogether in unity, it says it is where the23 | P a g e
  24. 24. Lord releases his anointing andblessings. God established marriage, and the church on love and unity. So it will usually difficult, or evenalmost impossible for any marriage, ministry, or even the church to prosperin disunity. It is necessary to cometogether, but not just this, the Lordwants us to unite also with him. Godspurpose has been for man to abide inhim, to settle and live in God and Godin us.24 | P a g e
  25. 25. I Can Do All ThingsThe Lord Jesus promised to pray thisprayer, in John 14:16-20, "And I willpray the Father, and he shall give youanother comforter, that he may abidewith you forever. Even the Spirit oftruth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neitherknoweth him, but ye know him for hedwelleth with you, and shall be in you.I will not leave you comfortless. .... Atthat day ye shall know that I am in my25 | P a g e
  26. 26. Father and you in me, and I in you.”The sins of Adam did separate theworld from God, so when we come intoChrist, we automatically come into Godplan and divine purpose for our lives.Once your life is in agreement withChrist, it gives life and meaning to yourpurpose on earth. The scripture explains more in John15:4-5, "Abide in me, and I in you. Asthe branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more26 | P a g e
  27. 27. can ye, except ye abide in me. I amthe vine, ye are the branches. He thatabideth in me, and I in him, the samebringeth forth much fruit, for withoutme ye can do nothing."When we come together with Christthere nothing we cannot achieve. Thescripture says I can do all thingthrough Christ whostrengthens me.27 | P a g e
