Scripture Reflections
Verse 1_3
By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said,
Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
Bride Looks Again..In All the Wrong Places
Verse 1
By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
I speak to myself, I can not sleep. My soul is awakened of my thoughts towards the Love of Jesus. So, I got up out of bed and began a search. I must have more of Him!
Bride Searches..Again
Verse 2
I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
In the streets I cannot find Him. I compare my soul to much business of thoughts. Why do I search for Him in the past ways of the world? My heart Loves Him deeply, but my thoughts have taken me out of my bed, to find Him again.
Bride Meets People
Verse 3
The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said,
Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
Oh! My soul! When will I learn I cannot look to people of renown to discover Jesus in my heart. Just as watchman are to a city, so I need the Love of Jesus to guide and watch my soul. Direct the footsteps of my heart back to You, oh! Jesus!
Scripture Reflections
Verse 4_5
It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.
I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye
stir not up, nor awake my love,
till he please.
Seek & Ye Shall Find
Verse 4
It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.
Back to my heart I pondered, and found that He was already there. My heart embraced His presence, and it is there I stayed.
Bride Prayer
Teach me, Oh! Jesus! To carry you with me even when I am home.
I must return to my first Love.
His heart is my home,
and where He is!
Bride Testifies to Daughters
Verse 5
I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye
stir not up, nor awake my love,
till he please.
Listen to me oh ye Daughters, of my First Love. The Love of Jesus has given my heart joy. His presence is youthful like that of a young deer in my heart. Don’t leave the bed of His Love in your heart. It is there our Love is at rest.
