Good afternoon Prof Lau and _____________I’m Shang and my business case presentation is on 2359 Media, who are mobile applications developers with our motto is “Business Success through Mobile”.This presentation is titled “Another New Horizon” because of the shift we faced entering of a totally new market.
Now to the company’s product.The company is divided into two business units: 2359’s own applications and the consulting apps business.2359’s apps are SG Malls and the mall series and one still in the pipelines which is an iPad children’s story eBook.And the consulting apps like GD121 and Property Buddy from SingTel and UrbanWire from Ngee Ann Poly and not forgetting the TechCrunch app.
2359 Media stepped into the mobile, rich-media advertisement industry with a new product called MobDis. This advertisement builder was created to help a niche market of non-programmer designers create presentable ads in an amazingly short span of time (see Figure 3). MobDis promises to reduce by 20 times the cost of creating the mobile advertisements and increase by 5 times the rate at which the marketers can create the advertisements (see Appendix B).Hong Ting described MobDis as “a user-friendly HTML 5 web application that enables advertisers to create a captivating mobile advertisement efficiently”. He went on to elaborate that with MobDis’ easy-to-use PowerPoint-like interface, it allows people to create flash-like animations for animated and interactive, rich-media mobile advertising all by themselves. This helps mobile advertisement designers save time and money by taking away the hassle of contacting the developers and making sure they fully understand the marketing idea.Commenting about the quality of the mobile advertisements created by MobDis, Hong Ting mentioned that “Using rich-media, MobDis aims to allow advertisers to create animated images, provide a great audio experience and add videos to their advertisements. This allows them to create interactive advertisements, giving audiences the fullest and most enriching experience upon viewing the advertisement on their smart phones.” Adding on to its technical capabilities, he mentioned that MobDis is built on HTML 5’s APIs and is supported by most browsers, allowing you to reach audiences using the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Mobile phones”. (see Appendix C for a brochure of MobDis)2359 Media’s MobDis aims to become the number one most widely used mobile advertisement creator and become a house-hold brand name representing premium mobile advertisements.
