Now’s the time to nominate your favorite cleaning crew member. All donations benefit Seabees,Sailors and Marines through NMCRS programs. To date the “lucky” scrubbers are: CDR Meyer, $76.37; CAPT Burgess, $53.95; MaeDuke, $57; Rob Mims, $26; Ron Perry, $21; CMDCM Mark Thomas, $17.74; Mark Ashley, $17.50. To nominate someone, call 228-871-2610.NCBC Gulfport site of 2013 Special Olympics volunteers needed - NCBC Gulfport will host the Area 3 Special Olympics June 8.Games will be held outside of the Fitness Center, near the softball fields, and will begin following a 9 a.m. opening ceremony. Anawards ceremony will happen immediately after the games conclude. A minimum of 200 volunteers are needed to set up, registerand accompany the athletes, cheer them on and tear down the site. Volunteer request forms will be available on each CommandQuarterdeck and will be collected on May 24.
