UnLtd 4iP Awards
UnLtd and 4iP have teamed up to help individuals develop early stage digital media ideas and prototypes. Together we will build the skills, capabilities and partnerships to turn prototypes in social business.
4iP will share its expertise in digital media and UnLtd will provide dedicated support including training opportunities, mentoring and access to resources.

What are the UnLtd 4iP Awards
The UnLtd 4iP scheme will be giving awards of up to £5,000 to help individuals from across the UK to turn their digital media project into a reality.

Criteria
Does your project:
Challenge people to see the world differently;
Inspire change and empower communities;
Revolve around the participation and collaboration of users; and Use digital media in an innovative and original way to solve an important user need
Applicants will be assessed against the normal UnLtd criteria, plus those shown above.

Criteria continued
Projects that demonstrate participation and collaboration get their users to do something, rather than passively consume stuff. That could be through a service, website, tool, game or mobile application

Themes
There are two themes that 4iP is particularly passionate about; ideally projects will also meet
one of these:
Holding money and power to account
Using the web and mobile to keep an eye on how government, organisations and elected
representatives use their power.
MOT your life
Exploring how digital tools, games, applications and services can help people change their
lives for the better whether that’s their health, wellbeing, finances, work/life balance or dealing
with unemployment.

Who can apply?
Awards are allocated to individuals:
Over the age of 16
Living in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland
Applying as an individual or informal group

Process
Awards are made each month apart from August and December
No set deadlines, once application is received it will take 6- 8 weeks to make a decision, longer over August and December
Application process begins with telephone call to regional office, discussing idea and application being sent to you
Once the form is received desk assessed and if successful invited to interview
Final decision made by 4iP panel and UnLtd board of trustees
