    2. What support is available?
        • revenue grant to help towards product development costs such as parts and materials, testing or patent costs - £10,000
        • capital grant to help towards purchasing items such as machinery or tooling - £10,000 or £15,000
    3. Who can apply?
      • West Midlands based SMEs
      • developing an innovative new product, process or service
      • collaborating with at least 2 other West Midlands based SMEs
    4. How do you apply?
      • guidance notes and application pack available on the web site or from the Project Team
      • complete Application Forms and Project Application Template
      • guidance and support provided to help you put your application together
      • from receiving a finalised application we aim to make a decision within 2 weeks
      • all applicants will be referred to Business Link
    5. How is the grant made up?
      • your project budget should be twice the amount of grant being applied for
      • you must evidence external spend to a minimum of the grant value
      • remainder of the project budget to be made up of staff time costs and any additional spend
      • grant paid in two instalments, one half way through and one at the end of the project

      • Ferris Tech
        • Bait Bomb - an innovative bait delivery system for the leisure angler. With the aid of a £15K capital grant they purchased tooling allowing them to go into manufacturing within the West Midlands.

      • Next Generation Turbines
        • Having received a £10K revenue grant they designed and developed an innovative new 2 piece wind turbine mast. By producing their own masts they will no longer need to import. New web site and marketing materials were also put in place.

      • Comfy Catch Bib
        • The bib was designed to combine the comfort of a terry bib with the practicability of a pelican bib. Grant used to develop and test prototypes.

      • we have been running since 2002
      • over 280 networks supported
      • new sales of over £14 million
      • over 700 jobs created or safeguarded
      • 94% of participants would recommend the scheme to others
        • 90% of participants found partners valuable or essential to the success of their projects
