    • Music Magazine Front Cover Sketch #1
Here I have just basically done a very brief outline of where I would like to place things such as the Masthead, Skyline, Cover lines, the main photograph image etc.
Very basic but gives me an idea of how I would like to lay-out my music magazine.
    • Music Magazine Front Cover Sketch #2
This is my first “real” sketch, using Photoshop. Here I have taken snippets from the magazine covers from my 2nd mood board to display the Skyline, Cover lines and even the freebie of the magazine.
The main photograph image was taken from Google images and I think it compliments the cover well.
    • Music Magazine Front Cover Sketch #3
This is my third music magazine front cover sketch. This covers a more Indy/Rock band kind of genre, really what the magazine is all about. The main cover image is in black and white with the red guitar in front – contrasts well with the red cover lines and skyline taken from the Tempo magazine in my 2nd mood board.

    • What It’s All About
My new music magazine is going to be about various kinds of music based within the Rock, Indy and Metal genres of music with a little but of R&B splashed in when relevant. I think it will appeal to my target audience because it has a widespread appeal, not only visually but based upon the actual contents of the magazine.
The tone and register of the magazine is going to be very casual and approachable by all readers. I don’t think it’s good to launch a new magazine that is going to be directly targeted at those who specifically have to know X amount about the music they are reading about. This is going to be for everybody who shares a love for the particular genres of music that are featured in the magazine.
