A young woman who looked significantly like her mother sat down at the family dinner table to eat with her brother and parents. Jennifer had just aged into a teen and was so far, liking the new prospects it opened up for her.
Jennifer walked into her parent’s room. She desperately wanted to change out of those ‘awful and restricting’ clothes. ‘So what?’ she thought to herself ‘who cares if my mum is the mayor? We don’t all have to dress formally around here!’
She came out of her parent’s room about an hour later, hair considerably shorter, as well as her skirt length.
For a few days nothing important happened in the quaint town of Sunset Valley. Yes, people had children and were getting promotions, but nothing exciting happened to the Clavell family, except for Tyler’s birthday.
Tyler’s family had different reactions to him becoming a young adult. Jennifer watched on whilst Xander pointed and laughed, expressing the underlying inappropriate trait that Jane had thought she had rid from Xander.
Tyler glared at his father before asking if anyone wanted a slice of cake.
A few days later, Tyler invited Susanna Frio over to the small family home. Memories flooded Tyler’s mind of meeting her for the first time, speaking to her as a child and at once, he almost instinctively dropped to one knee and produced a velvet box from his pocket.
“Susanna…” he began, opening the box to show his girlfriend the glittering diamond ring, “Will you marry me?” Covering her mouth Susanna let out a scream.
Tyler slid the engagement ring onto Susanna’s finger and caressed her hand.
And with that, the family’s destiny was secured for another generation.
Well, almost secured.
Susanna and Tyler tried for children long into the night until they eventually gave into exhaustion and went to sleep.
“no..” Susanna spoke to herself in the dream.“oh please, no!” She tossed from side to side as the prospect haunted her of maybe not having children at all.
Rolling over and opening her eyes, she wished that her dream may not be the family’s destiny and tried to sleep for a few moments as her husband slept peacefully beside her, not a care in the world.
Just as Susanna was starting to relax and sleep, her father-in-law was just rising for the day, at around 5am.
A sky of a pretty lilac greeted him, it was very unlikely for anyone to be awake at such an hour to see the same beauty but Xander had a job to do today, a very important job indeed.
He hurriedly got ready, not making any noise, he didn’t want his family to wonder where he was going.
He left just on time, as Jane stirred Xander walked out the front door, a cool, complacent smile on his face.
When he reached his destination he set off in a sprint to the mausoleum at the far end of the graveyard. Not knowing that in a few hours he would return empty handed. His mother’s stone was gone.
Back at the house nobody was particularly worried about Xander’s whereabouts. He was an innapropriate, hot head after all. Besides, Susanna had other things to worry about, for example, being sick, convinced she was ill, she went to bed for some rest.
It was a few days later however, that she knew the truth, and breaking it to her husband gently, she told him she was expecting and she was to go to the hospital first thing tomorrow to see a consultant.
Of course, Tyler was happy.
Tyler still didn’t have a job. He didn’t particularly want one. It was his life time want to grow produce and so he worked on his large garden, which usually took from around 8am until 2pm to successfully weed and harvest.
Plus, he was to have another thing on his agenda for the day, to look after his child. Which he was very excited about.
Jennifer later realised her true calling to be an author and painter. She immediately bought an easel and set to work producing paintings.
Returning from the spa one evening Susanna bent over with pain, certain the baby was coming she had no idea what to do, should she rush inside and tell her husband or should she beckon a taxi? She cycled (yes,, all the way to the hospital…)
She brought back a baby girl called Rihanna with her. Yes I’m inventive (I was listening to Rihanna at the time she had her!)
And Tyler returned with another girl called Esmerelda Which I think means ‘emerald’ in Spanish.. Feel free to correct me.
That same night, it was Jane’s birthday For me at this time, the pressure is on, she has about 3 more promotions and I NEED her to die with a completed LTW.
Just because you’re old, doesn’t mean you can’t dress stylishly. Jane is the only sim that can make shoe boots, a double front pleat skirt and a bright yellow blouse look good.
It was later that night that Xander started making moves on Susanna.
Jane started to lecture him about the inappropriateness of his behaviour, about how Susanna had a family now.
And with this Jane told Xander it was over…
…and then went innocently back to sleep.
Xander moved out to the other side of town, and only spoke to Jennifer ever again.
A few days later it was the twin’s birthdays.
The first to grow up was Rihanna, who had more of her father’s shade of blonde hair.
And then Esmerelda who had a resemblance to her mother with red hair and a pinched nose.
And then, there was Jennifer, who has kind of been forgotten in the household as of late, being rejected for her first kiss was the last straw and she broke down on Tam’s shoulder. Tam was nothing special but Jennifer was really upset.
At one of her mother’s many social gatherings and campaign fundraisers, she quickly befriended Mortimer Goth, and seeing as it was he birthday in a few days, she thought it was a good idea to see how far she could push their friendship.
And so we end on where we started, Jennifer Clavell’s birthday to a young adult, and she knew exactly what she was going to do.
