    4. What do we mean by fitness?
      • Aristotle about 2,500 years ago . Quite simply said “something that is well suited to its purpose is fit.”
      • However, there is an "appealing" match or sense of "fit"-ness when we look at activities that our lifestyle demands and being able to do them. There is a correlation between them.

      • Method
      • 1 Gently pinch your partner’s skin between your
      • thumb and finger in the position shown.
      • 2 Place the callipers around the skinfold at a depth of
      • about 1cm and measure the thickness in millimetres.
      • 3 Repeat the measurement twice more, leaving 15
      • seconds between each reading. Calculate the mean
      • (average) thickness by adding the three numbers
      • together and dividing the answer by 3.
