1. 1. Breaking Barriers, One School at a Time
2. 2. Breaking Barriers, One School at a Time
School Improvement Network was started by educators willing to do what no one else had done. Today, we continue the tradition.
3. 3. A Camera, a Need, a Dream
John and Blanch Linton began creating professional development videos to meet a growing need for differentiated education and real classroom examples.
They were teachers, and they knew what teachers needed. The Lintons set out to improve education in America in the best way they knew how.
4. 4. Best Practices Put into Practice
No one had ever visited the classroom to show teachers presenting lessons and implementing the theories that make best practices.
5. 5. Setting a New Standard
Though no one else had presented classroom best practices, School Improvement Network has been in over 3,000 classrooms across the United States and Canada.
These classrooms are presented in conjunction with expert commentary from the thought leaders on each topic presented.
Technology in Teaching
With the unveiling of PD 360, School Improvement Network put its vast library of materials on the internet where teachers could access job-embedded training any time, anywhere, on the widest array of topics available.
The idea and the product swept through education and has become the world’s largest online professional development platform.
7. 7. Doing More with PD 360
Universities have incorporated PD 360 into masters and doctorate programs because of the potential that the system presents.
PD 360 gives administrators and leaders more ways to administer customized professional development to as many groups and teams as they need.
8. 8. Prescriptive Technology with Observation 360
Observation 360 is fully integrated with PD 360, giving educators the industry’s only observation tool with prescriptive technology.
In addition to customizable templates, graphs, and statistics, Observation 360 will automatically recommend training from PD 360’s library based on the observation results.
Observation 360 works online and offline. The reports can be transferred to a teacher’s account, giving administrators full reporting and follow-up capabilities.
Observation 360 is the industry’s most effective observation tool available.
9. 9. In-Depth Standards Training with Common Core 360
Common Core 360 provides teachers with specific training on what the Standards are, how they can help teachers, how they drive students’ skills mastery, and why the Standards are important.
Common Core 360 will follow two schools as teachers begin the crosswalk to the Standards and implement new methods and practices to help students.
Common Core 360 will be home to a library of over 300 training videos, including classroom practices and expert commentary on Standards implementation.
