  • 1. CREATING SIMPLE WEB VIDEOS M6 Web Design
  • 2. Windows Movie Maker
    • A very simple way to create movies and animations we can use on the web.
    • We combine many types of media:
      • Video
      • Audio
      • Music
      • Images
      • Graphics
  • 3. Windows Movie Maker
    • First lets have a go at making a simple movie.
    • Choose a subject.
    • Locate some:
      • Movies (mpg, avi…)
      • Sound (mp3, wav…)
      • Images (gif, jpg…)
    • Use your own or locate some on the Internet.
    • Open Windows Movie Maker
      • Movie Tasks – Different ways we can edit our movie
  • 4. Import a Video
    • Import Video/ Pictures/ Audio or Music using the panel on the left:
    • Your imported
    • media will be seen
    • in the Collection
    • panel.
    • You drag and drop
    • your media onto
    • the storyboard .
  • 5. Importing a Video
    • The Timeline is found at the bottom of the screen.
    • This is similar to the Timeline used in Macromedia Flash.
    • You can drag your
    • movies, pictures and
    • audio into this
    • storyboard .
  • 6. Video Transitions
    • We use video transitions to join 2 videos (or pictures) together.
    • Click video transitions in
    • the left panel and then
    • drag your chosen
    • transition onto the
    • storyboard between videos.
  • 7. Video Effects
    • Click video effects to add effects to your movie.
    • In the same way as before we drag these directly into the video in the storyboard.
  • 8. Timeline
    • You can use the timeline to change the length or positioning of your clips.
    • You can edit your movies or sound and only show a section of the movie, or play a portion of the sound.
    • You can record your narration here.
  • 9. Preview your work
    • At any time you can preview your movie using the video player on the right hand side of your screen.
