Patients and Families Helping Patients and Families: How to Become Engaged and Have Meaningful Involvement as an Advisor

90

Published on

A session for patients and families from experienced patient and family advisors, on how to become more involved in the role and participate in a meaningful way. Cindy and Heather will both tell their stories on how they got involved as patient and family advisors, including the importance of this role and how they found their voice to speak up and be involved in many improvement efforts. A ‘how to’ for future advisors to find their voices and make changes in their home health regions. An excellent session for healthcare staff who are considering creating advisory councils in their own regions.

  • Culture change is hard and will take time but there is no turning back, we are on a journey together. One to be the best patient and family centred provider provincially. Sure we make mistakes but it is through these we can try new ways and make it better. Continuously improving and working together is the key
